  7.     There were no helicopters, no parachutists and no
  8. paparazzi, but the wedding of flaky pop star CYNDI LAUPER to
  9. actor DAVID THORNTON last week was just as colorful as Liz
  10. Taylor's nutty nuptials. Little Richard performed the ceremony.
  11. Paul ("Pee-wee Herman") Reubens videotaped it. Lauper's maid of
  12. honor was her 90-year-old grandmother, which is why Lauper kept
  13. paparazzi away ("I didn't want to spook her"). There was even
  14. a hitch in the hitching: Lauper couldn't get the wedding ring
  15. on her gloved finger. Silly Cyndi! And don't expect married life
  16. to make her less zany. Says Lauper: "I don't feel different."
  17. That's a relief.
